Dramatic winter weather continues into March. After months of dealing with cold temperatures and altered plans because of slippery roads, we may be feeling a bit frazzled, anxious to jump ahead to a time where we anticipate that things will feel less difficult.
Part of the mindfulness practice is to be present with each moment as it presents itself. The practice allows for observation of patterns of thought in the mind and patterns of movement in the body. With that awareness we can create space around those habits in order to discern which help to strengthen us and which may be depleting us.
Land softly in the space of each moment. Take care not to impose or force, to criticize where we have been or where we are. Allow opportunity for clear and intentional movement forward.
I am taking a winter break from teaching the Wednesday morning Slow Flow class at Windpointe Barn in March, but I would love to have you join me this month on Fridays for Morning Flow at Freeport Yoga Company from 8-9am!
