The Book of Joy by the Dalai Lama, Desmond Tutu and Douglas Abrams reminds us:
“No dark fate determines the future. We do. Each day and each moment, we are able to create and recreate our lives and the very quality of human life on our planet. This is the power we wield. Lasting happiness cannot be found in pursuit of any goal or achievement. It does not reside in fortune or fame. It resides only in the human mind and heart.”
We run on momentum, driven by the rhythm of productivity.
We strive to keep pace with work, family, and community.
We ask ourselves, what is the cost to our bodies.
If you slowed your pace for one day, what would you find?
If your body shared her wisdom, would you listen?
We invite you to spend one day in your natural rhythm.
We encourage you to uncover the joy that lays dormant inside.
This is not a day for impressing anyone or proving anything.
This is a day devoted to listening to the wisdom of your body.
The day begins at 10am with slow flow yoga to stir the energy in the body.
A guided embodied meditation will connect you with the wisdom of the body.
You will create a Paper-Play collage, creating a unique work of art in a low-risk way.
Lunch, created by Erin Dillon, will nourish you with delicious plant-based food.
The day will be sealed with restorative yoga & loving-kindness meditation.
At 4pm the day ends with a silent gratitude circle.
